Hoppy Anniversary

It's my husband and I's 5th wedding anniversary tomorrow, so what better way for me to show him I love him than make him a card using this month's image from Encino Stamps ( courtesy of the progressive challenge on the outlawz)
I went for a fairly basic design as he isn't too into embellishment... and used brads and staples as the main embellies.

no cards at that craft place challenge blog

Hi there everyone! it is another sunday, and time for a new challenge on the that craft place challenge blog!

this fortnight's challenge is 'no cards ' so please show us your sparkly new makes that aren't a card!
if it's a cake and it is gluten free, it's an unwritten rule that it has to be sent to me :)

for my inspiration this challenge,
I chose to make a food diary, as the one I was given by my physiotherapist wasn't at all pretty... and didn't last for as long as I needed it to either!
the inside has a chart for everything i eat , drink, and after that (will leave that one to your own imagination lol)

to make this book, I used my zutter bind it all and some 12x12 cardstock ( I usually make books from thicker card, but this one was fine being a bit floppy!)

I also used a piece of 12x12 my minds eye paper,
cooking betty who is now in clear stamp format at creative expressions, stocked in the that craft place shop, coloured using copics,
pale turquoise and pink spotted ribbon , and blue rose trim from that craft place
letters using a font from the hungry jpeg cut in card using my brother scan 'n'cut
and either painted with mermaid lagoon distress paint, or peacock feathers distress glitter
and some thin lace I had in a huge bag of lace I bought a long time ago!

I look forward to seeing all your fabby entries to the challenge!

Rick St Dennis EDT inspiration- arco iris unicorn

Hello there and happy monday!
today I have used an absolutely gorgeous stamp from Rick St Dennis MFA to create a slightly glittery card! the stamp is called Unicorn 'Arco Iris' and is available from Rick's Zibbet store!
I absolutely adore unicorns and all things mythical and mystical, so when Rick Released her recently, I knew I just had to play!

I spent several hours trying to do this stamp justice, with her fantastic mane, studded with flowers.

I coloured her using my copics (and stupidly, I got so into colouring that I forgot to keep track of the colours used!)

The papers are from the prima 'rosarian' pad
and the cardstock is Stampin up's tempting turquoise.
I also used some pink cotton lace,
dovecraft 3d pearl effects,
sentiment from paper smooches birthday sampler set
and cotton candy stickles.

I hope you like my card, it was such fun to create!

CAS -some odd girl love me not Mae

Hi there everyone! a quick one from me this evening after seeing Kristy's speed card how to this evening... I'm not a CAS girl....at all. the more layers the better...and if it's not square...it's not there... I don't cope well with CAS or Rectangular....
but tonight I decided the gloves were off... why let it continue to sneer at me ..and beat me?

so I came up with this, using Some Odd Girl's love me not mae, one of my favourite SOG stamps. I'm pretty happy with it...

Rick St Dennis Progressive challenge :March

Hello there, it is officially March, and the start of a new leg of the Rick st Dennis MFA progressive challenge, hosted over on the sparkle and glitter blog!

This month the design team have been given 'Aloha Nui ' to create with, a fantastic new image... she is ever so sweet!

I took inspiration from the official colours for hawaii- the official flower is the yellow hibiscus... and the blossoms I have decided are the kukui blossom, official flower of the Molokai island...
if anything else, it was fun researching all this stuff ;)
I used bold bright summery colours , and how can she make you fail to smile?

why not go check out all the other Rick St Dennis Elite Design teams work, and play along in the progressive challenge ?
