New 'Easter' Challenge at that craft place

Hello everyone, and happy sunday...  I've had a busy week, as the littlest creation had a sick bug at the beginning of the week, and now master creation has chicken pox!
despite it ALL going on, I've had time to sneak away and do some crafting, and one of the things I have made is this card:

This card is for the new CHALLENGE starting at 'that craft place challenge blog'
and the theme is easter...

to create my card I have used the following goodies from that craft place:

super smooth 300 gsm white colouring cardstock

copics- E000,E00,E21,E11,E04,R20,
RV09,RV06,RV04,RV02
YR23, YR14,YR21
BV13
YR07
V05

spring time ribbon with bird and butterfly pattern

flower stamens

collall tacky glue

other items are from my stash, including this cute digital stamp from The East Wind! Aurora bunny onesie

I hope you come and join in the fun and play along with the easter challenge!

carnival 2015

Hi there everyone, Rachel here today, to show you my latest inspiration for the rick st dennis EDT !
if you were lucky enough to see Sue's post in the fan group yesterday, you would have seen this make of mine, as I made it to cheer her up and sent it to her in secret .. (therefore scheduling my blog post for before she got it would have been a bit daft ;) )

I made her a plaque using 'carnival 2015'  one of this year's fantastic new stamps...

I made this little plaque using 2 sheets of grey board (1mm thickness) glued together as I didn't have anything stronger here!

I then covered it with pink cardstock and a designer paper layer, measured for holes and then made holes for them with an awl.
in those holes I fitted some eyelets so that it would hold the ribbon a bit better.
whilst giving that some drying time, I coloured in the carnival 2015 image, (using lots of pink, and glitter!)
I originally gave her a more sheer looking pair of tights /pantyhose, but I was getting frowned at by Ms carnival herself, and had to redo them in a brighter pink....

I then spent an intense hour or so fussy cutting her with my blunt decoupage scissors.... hoping I didn't accidentally cut anything off in the process! luckily she survived unscathed, with a sigh of relief from myself!
I added cotton candy stickles, and glued her to the plaque, then cut my lettering using my scan n cut... ran that through my sticker maker and stuck down... more glitter, on those, and the edges, and then finally liquid pearls, and once dry, the pink hanging ribbon :)

I'm glad it cheered sue up and hopefully if you wanted to do the same sort of thing for a friend, I've given you some inspiration!

a bit of play time...

Today amongst my myriad tasks I have found a little time to play - it is the 4000 fan party over in the Make it Crafty Facebook group this weekend, and I made a couple of cards to join in. I thought I would share them on my blog too and maybe enter a couple more sneaky challenges whilst I am at it!

This first one is made using Pipi Faye from MIC
and is my first ever one layer, no embellishment card- I really do not do CAS!

the whole card is coloured using my copics and only my copics.

The second is made using MIC's cherry blossom
this is another one layer CAS card this time with as much white as I felt comfortable leaving- this time coloured with watercolour. the sentiment is from Bo bunny.
the watercolours and watercolour paper are only cheap, but it was a bit of fun!

Rick St Dennis MFA Countess van Bloot

Good morning everyone...
Rachel here with you today, to share my latest project using the fantastic 'Countess Van Bloot'  from Rick St Dennis MFA digital stamps , who you can pick up from the zibbet store!

I love her dress with it's mesh panels, and the sheer 'bat wings' I don't think I would look half as good in it as she does though!

I recently got a replacement Scan 'N' cut machine , as my other one went to the doctors because it had the plague (It would not cut properly) and instead of getting her back, I was sent a new one... so I have been playing with some different shapes on my cards , and having great fun!
Copics used-
e000,e00,e21,e11,e04,
N6,N4,N2
V09,V06,V05,
R56, R37,R35

black cardstock
washi tape in damask and skull prints
black lace
brads
purple cotton lace
liquid pearls White Opal
material (that my friend Cheri sent me.. It isn't as fine as cheesecloth but gives gorgeous texture)
Papers from My minds eye 'frightful' paper pack
flowers made with purple paper and Tim Holtz tattered garland die

all shapes cut on my Scan 'N' Cut

paris- j'taime

Hi there everyone, Rachel here today,
I would like to share with you today the card I made from my colouring of 'Paris j'taime' one of the gorgeous girls from Rick St Dennis's  Zibbet store!

you can find her HERE
to see more of the work from the RSD EDT please look here

I was sent the gorgeous parisian themed paper (top paper layer) recently and knew I had to incorporate a sheet of it into this card somehow!
unfortunately, I forgot to note what make it was!
the back patterned paper however, is from paper adventures.

I also used a paper wishes sentiment stamp and fashioned my own banner using card, distress ink and 3d foam pads.
the ribbon is some gorgeous seam binding from WOC in 'rose petal'
with a green dazzler at the centre.

Sunday 1 March 2015

wheeee a LOT going on at rick st dennis, that craft place AND karleigh Sue Digi shoppe!

Hi there everyone, it has been an extremely busy and exhausting month, but I think I have managed to cram some pretty awesome stuff into it, and Today as well as being 1st of the new month  is the start of two new challenges on two different blogs!

the new challenge that starts today is mothers day/anything goes.
I have made a tag using 'sugar mum' from the that Craft Place etsy Store

I coloured sugar using my copics - R08, YR07 YR14. and YR21 for the hair,
E000,E00,E21,E11,E04
and G99,G94,and G21

I made a greyboard tag and ran it through one of my cuttlebug embossing folders- I had to do this once from each end as it was too large to fit!

I then used my ink tool and brushed the whole area with tim holtz distress ink in winter berries from that craft place,
to this i added the die cut clipboard I made using my mini clipboard movers and shapers sizzix (tim holtz) dies - into which i slipped the coloured image, after colouring the top and bottom parts with a N6 and N4 copic)
I adhered it to the grey board with triple thick (also available from that craft place)

I fussy cut some of the mothers day sentiments that are available in the TCP etsy store, and added triple thick to those too to add dimension.
I finished off by adding some tim holtz movers and shapers hearts, raffia twine, stickles, liquid pearls and buttons from my favourite  papermania vintage notes pack
(you guessed it, ALSO from TCP)
a little green 10mm grossgrain and a rivet in the top hole.

this creation is for my mum and I hope she likes it. I'm sure she will as she seems to like anything I deign to make her ;)

There is also some new releases at the That Craft Place etsy shop.. this is my card using back to work Betty!

to make this card I used copics:
e000,e00,e21,e11,E04,R20
E13,E15,E18
N8,N6,N4,N2
black cardstock
dovecraft monochromatic papers
sizzix scalloped die
sentiment created by myself
and holographic gems
