A christmas challenge at that craft place

Hi there folks, hope you are all doing ok. It's been a tough couple of weeks for me here, as I've had a lot going on... there was a death in the family recently, (my 95 year old grandfather) and the funeral was the day before yesterday. It was a beautiful service, and a higher than expected turnout, which was very touching.

Through it all, I've kept crafting, and having pieces to work on for my design teams has really helped my well-being both physically and mentally!

This card is for the christmas challenge that starts today  over on the that craft place challenge blog , using one of the christmas betty boots images from the that craft place etsy store

I've used a mixture of goodies from the Shop and from my stash to create this card, the base of which is a Sizzix flip its die set from a couple of years ago, that I'm loving to find new uses for. It is such a unique shape that many people haven't really seen before and immediately adds wow factor
I used silver papers and matching embellishments as the top layers, with a hint of green and red to tie in with the beautiful digital stamp that I used
I coloured her in Copics , and on the reverse of the flip elements I added some cute little snowflakes and a bow . I also doodled by hand around the paper edges, and did some faux stitching with a white gelly roll pen.

I finished up with some twine , and half pearls in various sizes, and grey /turquoise colour tones

You can find lots of yummy supplies for your cards in the online shop group  HERE
in person at the bricks and mortar shop HERE (based in East Sussex)
find challenges and inspiration on the That Craft place blog
and natter about your current or planned creations in  the natter and chatter group on facebook HERE

Hope you enjoyed this card and happy crafting

and many thanks for reading

Zutter A4 page punching tutorial

Zutter bind it all A4 page punching tutorial

Hi there everyone! I bought a zutter bind it all earlier this year, unfortunately  bought it preloved, and it had no instructions with it, and it has taken me until now to work out how to punch an A4 page perfectly, so I thought I would share how I did it, in case anyone else was wondering how!

Step 1-

mark template page half way down long side

step 2-
line up with centre arrow on Zutter
step 3-
punch using Open setting

step 4-

put notch into 3rd hole from left, on continuous setting

step 5-

turn paper so reverse is facing you, and repeat step 4

step 6-

put notch into 5th hole from left. punch (continuous setting still)

step 7-
turn paper to reverse and repeat step 6
voila, holes all the way up, with a cm gap at each end
this will use all but 2 rings from the Zutter wire strips.

I hope this tutorial has been of some use to someone, if it has please consider leaving me a comment, or even giving my blog a cheeky follow!

she is called 'MIXIE' and is ever so cute, perfect for a bright card!
I teamed her with one of the sentiments from the fairy Betty Set - which is available at that craft place shop in clear stamp format (and includes fairy Betty image, sentiments and extras) !

I coloured her using Copics, from TCP
and teamed her with papers from my stash,
ribbon also from TCP in a gorgeous floral print
the buttons too are from TCP and I have a big jar of various colours that I love to use on my projects.
I love hunting through to find the perfect ones for my card, but often get sidetracked amongst all the pretties!

A warning to messy children everywhere....

Hi there,I'm popping in today, to show you a little hybrid make of mine... Sue helped me a little as I'm not very Craft artist Savvy.. so thank you Sue!

the story behind this is that I HATE cleaning house with a passion... and I fall out with my hoover a lot. it eats stuff.

I also have two very messy children who also hate to clean house.

therefore I asked Rick for a demon hoover.. and he obliged (thanks Rick!)
you can find him hanging out in Rick's Zibbet store , when he isn't eating people's mess and clutter...

so let this be a warning to my kids.. or any other messy ones... the demon hoover will eat your stuff if you leave it out.. and he will enjoy doing so!
