July New Releases at Chi Chi Memories!

a very good morning to you all! I am currently out at a 'scrum kids' training session with my family,we will be all watching my son having fun !
so anyway this weeks card is using 'scooter girl' one of the fantastic new July releases at CCM
If you follow the CCM blog you will have seen this card up for friday's inspiration on their blog.
she looks the embodiment of summer fun, doesn't she?

I used some bright an funky papers as the background or the image, and I coloured her in using copics and promarkers .

I also used glossy accents on the goggles and scooter lights to imitate glass.

I think (as always) that she is mega cute, and Natalie has done another fantastic job! I can't wait to show you the rest of the month's new releases, but I'm going to have to...stay tuned for another post next sunday!

I'd also like to remind you all that we run a monthly challenge over on the CCM blog with the option of a freebie for the first 30 lucky participants-
it will be on the 15th of the month every month so keep your eyes peeled for it!

Rainbows and dollies and CUTE!

Hello there everyone.. today's card is one made using a Saturated Canary digi and has to be one of my favourites to date image wise!
it really makes me smile and I hope it brings some sunshine and rainbows to your day as well :)

I used a 7" card blank , park life DSP, orange coredinations cardstock, copics, a star punch and assorted gems and sparkly bits from my big box of sparkles!
I decided also to be brave with this one and go for some 'off the edge' action.
I love how she has turned out and I hope you do too :)

Good morning! and welcome to a New Challenge at Punk You Girl 'Skeletons and Secrets' !

Hello there and welcome to a new challenge at PunkYouGirl Challenge blog!
The theme this month is 'Skeleton's and secrets

As you may already know, we are under new management! Kay has taken over the reigns , but Sheena will still be contributing DT makes , so I hope you will all go over and make Kay feel very welcome in her new role!
There is also a DT call going on!

PunkYouGirl is for Dark makes only - and you need to follow the theme, but other than that anything dark that follows the theme is welcome! I and the rest of the team would love to see you coming and joining in ( and possibly becoming a follower too!)

My Make for this month is one Using a delicious darkness Digi Paper - and even better, the lovely Teri is giving this as a freebie!

It is a fairly simple make using some spellbinders dies, stickles, liquid pearls and a srip of gold glitter paper , but I think it really works well, and I had been itching to use my masque die!

I just love the paper too , though I did enhance it a bit by turning the skulls' eyes red!

Don't forget to come join us and have a look at the rest of the DT teams fantastic makes- as always they are truly superb!

Belle Of the Ball- The East Wind

Hello there everyone! this months freebie for The East Wind's email subscribers is the fantastic belle of the ball ! I just had to play along with this challenge, and this is what I have created -

I used papermania papers, coredinations cardstock and copics to make this card- also a couple of corners that have been in my stash a long time, some thick blue ribbon, thin blue ribbon and some liquid pearls.

The east wind - floral kiss

Hello there, today I have made a gorgeous card using The East Wind's Floral Kiss which i had the opportunity to play with recently at a reduced price for a colouring challenge over at Kit And Clowder's facebook group. once i had coloured her up for that challenge, I made her into a card which I think looks really beautiful as it is such a lovely summery image, an would also be great i think for using for weddings and handfastings as a 'different' card with a distinct wow factor.
I coloured the image with promarkers and copics- the skin and hair and top were coloured with copics, and the flowers were done with promarkers

To create this card I used coredinations and bazill basics card, some blue floral paper, some die cut edging strips, and some green half pearls on a 7 inch square card blank base

It is rather a simple card but I think it showcases the image really well!

Just for fun- Anything goes challenge (monthly) Design team inspiration!

Hey there, it is time for a brand new monthly challenge starting over at Just For Fun ! This is the first month of us going Anything Goes - now we are, I should hope to see all you crafty people joining in so I can look at even more of your fab cards!
or this months design team inspiration I have used a CCM digi to create this summery seaside themed boys card- I have had the anita's crab shack papers for a while, and when I acquired this digi I knew it would be perfect for them, and for the time of year!

His name is 'Beach time boy'  who you can buy from chi chi memories!
I used the anita's crab shack papers i previously mentioned, and coloured the image in using copics... the other materials I used were some other DP offcuts fashioned into banners, and some corrugated cardboard... I think it fits the surfer theme well!

so don't forget to join us at Just For Fun with any of your crafting projects this month - or any other month, and the main thing is HAVE FUN!

see you later!
