December Anything Goes challenge at that craft place!

Hi there everyone, it is sunday and a new challenge is starting over on the that craft place blog!
I'm sure you know by now that as well as having a challenge blog, that craft place is a bricks and mortar shop , now in polegate, sussex AND they have an online group too where you can grab your goodies if you aren't in the location of the 'real' shop!

My project today is made using one of lisa's MDF clock kits
I think you will agree it is fab, and it is also around 38cm diameter!

I also used one of the that craft place digital stamps, this one is from sugar and spice and is called 'love from sugar'

to achieve the finish on the clock I primed the MDF with gesso and then painted it with tim holtz crackle paint in picket fence..
I then used my distress ink pad - peacock feathers  (you can also pick these ink pads up at the shop)
and my ink tool to cover the paint once dry with the ink.
I used tim holtz peacock feather distress glitter to glitter the hearts and triple thick to adhere it (also from the shop)
the paper in the middle of the clock is a piece of paintable paper from Prima I was given a while back, and I coloured this with copics to tie in with the blue theme.

Copics used-
E000,E00,E21,E11,E04, R20, BG09,BG07,BG05,BG02,BG01, R20

please if you haven't already done so go and check out the new challenge and enter your 'anything goes' projects! I look forward to seeing your work!

Rick St Dennis inspirational over on airless chambers

Hello there everyone, it is my turn today to host over on the Rick St Dennis airless chambers blog , and I have chosen 'Haunted Carnival midway' for my piece today
I made something other than a card for once as I have a cute little easel which I usually use when I take pictures of my projects- the rest of the time it looks a little empty and sad, so I thought it could do with its own picture to sit on it when it's not required as a photo prop!

I used some thick grey cardboard as a base that i got when i recieved something in the post from that craft place- instead of throwing it away I cut it to the size of my image, to make it more of a plaque.
i coloured the image using my promarkers and copics, and used my blending chalks for the background.
i also added splats using my splats mask from that craft place, and some jade dimensional paint from heritage handcrafts that I picked up a couple of months ago
my thinking was in green it looked a bit like blobs of ectoplasm shed by the creepy monster chewing on the ticket booth!

hope you enjoy this slightly creepy make!

Sunday Inspirational at Chi Chi Memories

Hi there everyone, today is my turn to show you the second card I have made with the December new releases over at Chi Chi Memories!
this time i have chosen to use the gorgeous 'Happy Holiday'
such a cute and joyful image !
as with a few other of the digital stamps in my collection, i felt this one lent itself quite well to a CAS layout , to not overpower the image

Therefore I have used 1 patterned paper and 2 colours of cardstock only in this card and minimal embelishment,

Copics used- N6, N4, N2
YR23, Y21
promarkers burgundy, cardinal, crimson
dovecraft glitter glue in crystal
ranger glossy accents
grey/silver cardstock
gold glitter cardstock
red bauble paper

I hope you think he is a s sweet as i do and it gets you feeling festive!
join me again next week for another of the new releases!

Christmas frost- Mo Manning's 'winter fairy Halla'

Hi there everyone, are you getting sick of the christmas cards yet? I'm kinda getting into it now, which is typical because I shan't be making many more until next year!
This card came about when Sparkles decided to case her own cards to make more... for fun i decided to sit down and case one of her layouts then send her the finished card- as she's already seen my attempts, I thought it would be cool to blog it- it has a different feel to her decidedly awesome cards, but I love it!
copics used-
E000,E00,E21,E11,E04,R20
BG09,BG07,BG05,BG02,BG01,BG000
N2

papers used are from the 'christmas in july' bundle at pixel scrapper
buttons are from that craft place and are from the  papermania vintage notes pack- well worth buying as you get absolutely loads in reds, greens, yellows, and peaches.. the only thing i ask is if you follow my advice and get one, you send the ones with the inlaid sparkles to me so i can hoard them!!!

the image is 'winter fairy Halla' by Mo Manning of Mo's digital pencil
the stitched ribbon is one of my favourites and can currently be found in different colours in the christmas aisle at wilkinsons (if you are in the UK) , as can the dovecraft' crystal' glitter glue
the dazzler for the bow centre can also be found at that craft place
pale blue cardstock courtesy of ebay.
the snowflake die was in a magazine a couple of issues ago

hope you enjoy this make

Creepmas- Day 6 over at Rick St Dennis MFA digital stamps

Hello there everyone....I hope you have been enjoying all the creepmas makes so far this month both over on the Airless Chambers Blog  and over at Smeared ink!

for my creepmas make I have decided to make a special creepmas Tag with the Rick St Dennis MFA Digital stamp called 'Creepmas Witch Tree'

I used :

copics in G99,G94, and G21 for the skin and her hat band, and N8, N9,N4 and N2 for the hair on both the witch and the shrunken head, and also the hat.
I coloured her robes using R08, YR07 and a smidgen of YR14
the shrunken head is done in E13 and 11
and the baubles , snake and hat are done in previous colours mentioned- with the exception of the purple one which is purple promarker!

I surrounded the image with a border in N2 and then set to work on the background

I cut the cardstock and the backing piece of pizza box to a tag shape, punched a hole and added a rivet

I used my memento tuxedo black ink pad , and some peacock blue and tea dye distress ink , then I spritzed the area around the image (very carefully) using a Prima Bloom spray which is soft teal in the sparkling pastel range. It adds a subtle sparkle once dry, and looks wonderful when the distress ink reacts with it!

to finish off I used a stencil and some green dimensional paint to add the circles to the tag, and when everything was nearly dry, I distressed the edges slightly and added a piece of orange ribbon.

Inspirational for rick st dennis mfa digital stamps - morning Goddess Francie- holiday morning

Hello everyone, it is my turn to show you something pretty today, and it is another christmas card from me.. i'm so enjoying working my way through the Rick St Dennis christmassy images this year- even though i'm not a christmas fan usually, I am having a lot of fun!
The image I have chosen for this post is 'Morning Goddess Francie - Holiday Morning'

I coloured this card up using my usual mixture of copics and promarkers- one of these days I will hopefully have enough copics to not have to swap and change, but until then you get a hybrid when I need certain colours!

Copics used- E000,E00,E21,E11,E04,N2,N4,N6 R08, G99,G94,G21
E18,E15, E13

Promarkers used- Burgundy, cardinal, Crimson

The papers are from a long while back in my stash, and I have also used red cardstock and some large green gems.
the smaller matts and layers i hand cut into pennant shapes, and around the shorter one i have wrapped some silvery ribbon, then added a hand tied bow in the same ribbon on top. the image is popped up with some silicone glue dots .

I decided to decorate the inside of the card with the rest of the red striped paper sheet, and stamped 'merry christmas' onto it using one of my favourite bo bunny sentiment stamps- it must really be my favourite as i lost this stamp from my set and had to buy a new set to replace it :(

I think Francie makes a wonderful christmas card and i love the look on her little cat's face!

to see all the other fantastic work made by my teamis on the Rick St Dennis EDT please check out Sparkle and Glitter (for the cute stuff)
and Airless chambers (if you like the darker stuff)
and also the Facebook Group, where the FB EDT post all their work- and you can too as long as it has an RSD image on it!

have a good day everyone!
