it poofed! a little darker today, just for some fun!

today I made a card a little darker as I like to do occasionally and it is important to keep my hand in! this on is still mega cute (I think) and is a card I think my mum will like!

the image is from The Stamping chef and is called 'it poofed!'

I coloured the image up using promarkers and copics, and used back to basics papers , some purple lace and pewter half pearls, and a touck of my favourite distress ink-peacock feathers.

Chi Chi Memories 'Funky Girl' month end inspiration

Hello there, sorry this post is late today, I have my two little ones on half term and have had so much on this past week or so I did not get time to sit and write posts to schedule- so this one is live as it happens!
I just got them settled down for the night and hopefully they will be quite happy to stay cuddled up in bed whilst I do some work in blog land!

This weeks inspiration is the gorgeous Funky Girl which has to be one of my favourite CCM digis to date - on  long trip up to my mothers i bought my littlest creation who was travelling with me a magazine, and it had a pair of star shaped play glasses in it as the free gift- so every time I see this digi I think of her in her glasses!

To make this card I have used a digital paper from Lilian Elaboudy design- the awesome digital paper designer we are working in conjunction with over at CCM- we were given some beautiful papers to use in our projects and the lovely geometric print works so nicely with this image. I added dimension to the image with glossy accents, and popped some of the stars up on 3D foam pads.
I also used coredinations cardstock, copics, promarkers and stars created both on my scan n cut and a paper punch (from pound land if you would believe it)
and some pennants also from offcuts.
I also used a see D's stamp for the happy birthday sentiment, and finished off with some blue gems (self adhesive also from poundland)
I have to admit though I don't really get on with self adhesive gems and have ended up taking them off their backing and adhering them with tacky glue instead!

hope you all love her!

Movie time at Chi Chi memories!

what a fantastic day for the movies...
My card this week is made using the fantastic July new release from CCM-

to make this card really pop i kept my colour pallette fairly basic- black and grey papers, and a gorgeous red embossed panel , with the image fussy cut and placed in front! I hand sewed some of the elements on this card, and the butterflies are a stripe of washi tape.

the folder I used is an x cut movie ticket folder .

I used copics to colour the image, and promarkers.

isn't she just such a cutie?

don't forget there is also a challenge going on at CCM this month! check the CCM challenge page for more information!

I discovered a new digi stamp designer today...

Hello there, this is my second post today, I as usual couldn't wait to show you what I have created! I found a new digi designer called Hannah Lynn today, and I have used her Bookworm Fairy to create a card, using Samaflora flowers as embellishments.

I also used some papers from my stash- the brown papers have been sat there for almost a year as it was a bit out of my comfort zone using them- however I thought they would be fantastic on this card with the purples and lilacs - as all those colours were used in the image colouring. to colour the image i used copics for everything but the pink areas on the wings and the little green bookworm.
the cardstock is bazzill basics.

the samaflora roses are the hand stamped ones and i think they are absolutely gorgeous and i used them for this because it ties in with the open book.

hope you like this one!

I used a fantastic summery DS paper with kites and sunshine on it,
blue gems
cardstock from bazzil basics,
a spotty pink paper from anna marie designs,
a pink grossgrain ribbon bow, with a dazzler centre
and the obligatory copics and promarkers!
I also used a spellbinders edging die to make the beautiful scalloped strip along the right hand side.
I used the sketch provided by Mojo Monday to make this card.

July New Releases at Chi Chi Memories!

a very good morning to you all! I am currently out at a 'scrum kids' training session with my family,we will be all watching my son having fun !
so anyway this weeks card is using 'scooter girl' one of the fantastic new July releases at CCM
If you follow the CCM blog you will have seen this card up for friday's inspiration on their blog.
she looks the embodiment of summer fun, doesn't she?

I used some bright an funky papers as the background or the image, and I coloured her in using copics and promarkers .

I also used glossy accents on the goggles and scooter lights to imitate glass.

I think (as always) that she is mega cute, and Natalie has done another fantastic job! I can't wait to show you the rest of the month's new releases, but I'm going to have to...stay tuned for another post next sunday!

I'd also like to remind you all that we run a monthly challenge over on the CCM blog with the option of a freebie for the first 30 lucky participants-

The east wind - floral kiss

Hello there, today I have made a gorgeous card using The East Wind's Floral Kiss which i had the opportunity to play with recently at a reduced price for a colouring challenge over at Kit And Clowder's facebook group. once i had coloured her up for that challenge, I made her into a card which I think looks really beautiful as it is such a lovely summery image, an would also be great i think for using for weddings and handfastings as a 'different' card with a distinct wow factor.
I coloured the image with promarkers and copics- the skin and hair and top were coloured with copics, and the flowers were done with promarkers

To create this card I used coredinations and bazill basics card, some blue floral paper, some die cut edging strips, and some green half pearls on a 7 inch square card blank base

It is rather a simple card but I think it showcases the image really well!

Just for fun- Anything goes challenge (monthly) Design team inspiration!

Hey there, it is time for a brand new monthly challenge starting over at Just For Fun ! This is the first month of us going Anything Goes - now we are, I should hope to see all you crafty people joining in so I can look at even more of your fab cards!
or this months design team inspiration I have used a CCM digi to create this summery seaside themed boys card- I have had the anita's crab shack papers for a while, and when I acquired this digi I knew it would be perfect for them, and for the time of year!

His name is 'Beach time boy'  who you can buy from chi chi memories!
I used the anita's crab shack papers i previously mentioned, and coloured the image in using copics... the other materials I used were some other DP offcuts fashioned into banners, and some corrugated cardboard... I think it fits the surfer theme well!

so don't forget to join us at Just For Fun with any of your crafting projects this month - or any other month, and the main thing is HAVE FUN!

see you later!
